We had snow today, here in North Carolina. Apparently we get a substantial snow fall every few years. We ended up with a total of about 4 inches. At 2 inches pretty much everything shuts down with the exception of my place of employment. The parking lot was basically a skating rink when I left the office shortly after 5 today. No salt, no sand, nothing. Just ice. Fortunately I was able to enjoy the beauty of the snow for a bit when I got home tonight. The pictures are from my balcony.

It does look pretty! Maybe this is your substantial snowfall for the next few years. I have had it with the snow up here this year. A little too much for my liking. Drive carefully,
