Friday Favorites - A Toddler Christmas

 

It's the first Friday of December!  I think after October, December is my favorite month.  It is (usually) dependably cooler in Texas and that's my favorite kind of weather.  Plus, you know, the Holiday Season!  We put our tree up the week before Thanksgiving and I am not sad about it.  It sits in the nook of our staircase which gives me a great view of it from my office while I'm working.

Friday Favorites - Valentine's Day!

Hooray for Friday!  Has this felt like an epic week to you all?  It has for me.  By the end of Monday it felt like it should have been Wednesday.  

But here we are and my PATRIOTS are playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday!  Woohoo!

Now, we all know Valentine's Day is coming up.  Mr. Fisher and I don't usually do gifts on the day, maybe a card, but we celebrate by going out to eat.  Usually on the weekend when Valentine's Day falls during the week.

For those of you that do celebrate with gifts, I've got a few ideas.

Friday Favorites - Valentine's Day Gifts

The first week of class can be crazy, but I finally was able to get my travel squared away for a trip in February.  I get back from Nashville on February 14, which got me thinking about Valentine's Day and then I realized how close it is.  We probably won't celebrate until the weekend and I'm pretty sure we're going to The Keg.

During lunch today, I started browsing for gifts and here are my favorites that I found.

Life Lately

It is the day after Christmas and I hope that you all had a very Merry Christmas.  This morning Mr. Fisher and I are keeping it low key before running a bunch of errands later.  I'm just lounging in my striped leggings and cozy cozy sherpa pullover.  It's going to be hard to put on real clothes and go out.  

We had a great holiday with family and friends.  Here's a peek into what we've been up to with all the holiday goings on.

Five for Friday - Gifts for Kids!

Happy Friday Y'all!  I'm sorry the blog was quiet this week but we:

closed on the house last Friday
moved on Saturday

finally got cable and internet on Tuesday

have been unpacking and getting settled ever since

We should be wrapped up this weekend including holiday decor!  Once it's all done I'll do a proper home tour post.

But speaking of holidays...Christmas is right around the corner!  Eeek, I am so so excited.  I absolutely love the holidays.  I love spending this time with friends and family and celebrating the joy of the season.

Y'all.  Today is the day.  We close on our house!  Eeek!!!  I am so excited!  I can't wait to be all unpacked and settled in the new house.  This might be my favorite Friday ever.

Friday Favorites - Mother's Day!

Happy Friday Y'all!  I don't know about you but I am looking forward to this weekend.  It's Phillip's birthday and we are celebrating Saturday night in Dallas.  Look for a Date Night post on Monday.  The past couple of weeks have been crazy busy and we are both looking forward to a night on the town. 

But before we get to the weekend we have to get through Friday, right?  Let's start the day off with a bright spot - Mom!  Mother's Day is around the corner, so I've pulled together some fun Mother's Day gift ideas.

Your mom is the Queen Bee, right?  I love this Queen Bee trinket tray.  This would be perfect on her dresser or her bathroom counter to drop rings and such in.

Friday Favorites - Valentine's Day

Oh hello Friday, it is so good to see you.  I don't know about you all but this has been a WEEK.  Crazy busy so I am looking forward to some down time this weekend. 

Valentine's Day is coming up and I've put together a few fun Valentine's gifts for your loved ones.  Now, I am not going to link to what I got Phillip, I'll share that after Valentine's Day.  I know he reads this and he looks for clues and I want him to be surprised.

For Him

Whether you're shopping for your favorite guy, your brother, or your dad, these are sure to please.  The travel bag is so cute, I love the grey color.  Phillip is definitely a ballcap guy, so this all black one caught my eye.  I bought him a blue sweater from J.Crew for Christmas that he LOVES and wears all the time.  If your guy is a sweater guy (or doesn't know he's a sweater guy yet...) this cotton/cashmere one is a great buy AND it's under $50.

For Her

Searching for a Valentine's gift for a mom, friend, babysitter, sister, or just your best friend?  Check out these goodies!  I am swooning over the Barefoot Dreams robe.  I have three of their cardigans and I can only imagine how cozy that robe is!  And diptyque candles smell so good, anyone would love to receive one.  How sweet is the owl trinket holder?  Do you have a babysitter or special young person you want to gift on Valentine's Day?  This would be perfect.

So many cute kids ideas!  I wish I could get away with some of them.  Like, where was that Darth Vader backpack when I was kid?  And that pink tee shirt with the gold hearts is too sweet.  That striped infinity scarf is a fun piece and shouldn't everyone have pajamas with a mustache on them?  So many ideas for the special kids in your life.
