This has felt like an epic week, right?  

 

After three weekends with something planned, we have a weekend with NOTHING on the books and I am so excited to have the down time with Mr. Fisher and Henry.

Good Morning!  Happy Friday!  We have had a bit of a cold snap in Texas this week.  Monday morning we woke up to temperatures in the 30s!  I am not ready for the cold yet, so I have been dreaming about all the cozy things this week to keep me warm.

Friday Favorites - Amazon Prime

 

Hello there Friday - so good to see you.  This was a crazy week.  Monday and Tuesday were super quiet work wise and then the rest of the week has just been busy, busy, busy.

I don't know about you, but I do a lot of shopping on Prime. Working full time with a busy toddler, sometimes it is just easier (and quicker) to order on Prime and it show up on my doorstep.  Living in DFW with a huge Amazon hub, stuff gets here FAST.

Prime Day is October 13 & 14 this year and I know I am already scouting some deals - especially with an eye on some potential Christmas gifts.  If you don't have Amazon Prime, you can sign up for 30-day free trial!

Friday Favorites - Curly Hair Faves

 

Happy Friday!  I made the excellent decision a few weeks ago to request today off as a vacation day.  Present day Nichole is thanking past Nichole for that choice.

We made it to Friday and not a moment too soon!  While I love a long weekend, I also dislike the cramming of 5 days worth of work into 4 days.  But the weekend is upon us!

Y'all.  We're here - it's Friday.  Hooray!  This week has been crazy with the first week of classes.  I added an extra day on campus into the work from home rotation and I've felt off about my schedule all week.  But we're here.  We made it to the weekend.

Not that we have any plans, it'll be another low key weekend hanging at the house, but there will be no Zoom calls.

 My favorites this week are courtesy of Target!  They are killing it with the cute clothes for toddler boys this season.  I snagged a bunch of stuff for Henry this week.

Friday Favorites - Work Bags

 

 

The weekend is right around the corner and I am so excited.  Not that we have anything planned, mind you.

 

Let's talk work bags this Friday.  I LOVE a good tote.  If I had to pick my favorite style of bag, it would be a tote.  I love having the extra space to just toss something in if I'm out and about.  This makes them great for work because I can fit my laptop, makeup pouch, ipad, notepads, whatever else I might need for the work day.

Even though Henry is only one, he is getting all the "Back to School" notices from his day care.  It's so cute.  It did get me thinking about Back to School and Fall Favorites and since it is 105 degrees here in DFW today (no lie) and I am dreaming about cooler weather, I thought I would round up some of my favorite Back to School/Fall items this week.

Friday Favorites - Beauty Favorites

How is it August already?  Yikes.  The start of the Fall semester is right around the corner.  At this point, all I can do is hold my breath and hope that all of the plans, strategies, and safety measures we have in place will work out.  I work for an institution that has been very deliberate in its planning and we all want this to go well.  Fingers crossed!

If there's one thing that COVID has shown me, it's that I have some beauty favorites that I reach for time and again.  In a time where I've really just scaled back on my make up and skin care, it is apparent to me exactly which products are my favorites and are basically all I use most days.

It's Friday!  How did you all do this week?  Don't forget - today is the last day to enter the giveaway!

The beginning of my week was crazy, especially once ICE released their "guidance" about international students.  We had to do a little scrambling, but I think we are in a good place to help all our international students - the ones who are abroad and the ones who are here in the US.  With that worked on, the rest of the week quieted down a bit and I could focus on getting through some emails and some testing in our data system.  I was also reminded several times this week that Mr. Fisher and I made the right decision to move Henry's day care.  Today is his last day at the day care he's been at since he was 12 weeks old.  We're moving him to a different one starting Monday and there have been signs galore this week that we made the right call.  Nothing crazy - his health and safety aren't in jeopardy or anything, but definite signs that we're doing the right thing. 

I promised you all some of my office favorites this Friday, so let's jump into it!

Friday Favorites - Nordstrom Spring Sale

Happy Friday!  We made it through another week, friends.  Hopefully yours was a little more peaceful than mine, which was super crazy with work.

It's Friday though, which means the weekend is around the corner and we've got a few things on tap.  Mr. Fisher's father is in a play this weekend in Garland and we are heading out that way to see him in it followed by dinner at Babe's with the family to celebrate Mr. Fisher's birthday.  Sunday we have got to clean the house!  I am going to make it to Palm Sunday Mass and we have our maternity tour scheduled at the hospital. 

But Friday means Friday Favorites and it's the Nordstrom Spring Sale.  I wanted to highlight some of my favorite finds for the sale.  I'm not currently shopping for me, since I have the maternity clothes I need to get through the rest of this pregnancy and I'm not buying non-maternity clothes.  These are things I would have picked up and there are some really cute finds.

Friday Favorites - Spring is Coming!

Happy Friday!  I have today off, so this post is a little delayed this morning.  I took the opportunity to sleep in a bit (7am!), have coffee, go for a walk, and do some stuff around the house.

The walk was a little chilly, it's in the 40s, but we are halfway through March and I am ready for Spring!  Aren't you?  I want some 70 degree weather!  Thinking about Spring has me thinking about some fun new accessories and clothes to go with the bright, sunny weather.

Friday Favorites - Current Skincare Routine

Happy Friday, friends.  Are y'all ready for the weekend?  I have a list of errands to get done this weekend.  And hopefully a couple of naps.  The pregnancy exhaustion has reared its ugly head again and I am DRAGGING this week.  Thankful for the upcoming weekend.

This Friday for Friday Favorites, I thought I'd highlight my current skincare favorites.  I've had to stop using some of my favorites due to ingredients that are not recommended for pregnancy.  As someone who loves to try all the new skincare things, being limited to these few has been tough, but my skin looks good so I guess I can hang on in the short term.

TGIF!  I am looking forward to a mostly low key weekend - how about you?  I've got a facial scheduled, a family birthday party, and an Ikea trip lined up, but other than that, I'm looking forward to some down time.

Since Wednesday's post was all about Pregnancy and Fitness, I thought for Friday Favorites this week, I would highlight some of my favorite workout gear right now that is working for me as I'm around the 18 week mark.

Friday Favorites - Valentine's Day!

Hooray for Friday!  Has this felt like an epic week to you all?  It has for me.  By the end of Monday it felt like it should have been Wednesday.  

But here we are and my PATRIOTS are playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday!  Woohoo!

Now, we all know Valentine's Day is coming up.  Mr. Fisher and I don't usually do gifts on the day, maybe a card, but we celebrate by going out to eat.  Usually on the weekend when Valentine's Day falls during the week.

For those of you that do celebrate with gifts, I've got a few ideas.

Happy Friday!  Y'all, this is my first Friday Favorites post in months!  I know I said it on Monday, but I've missed blogging.  I needed the break though.  I am so happy to be back.

Since it's been awhile, I thought I'd start back with my FAVORITES from Amazon lately.  Who doesn't love a good Amazon deal, right?

 We have one of these for every tv in our house.  Seriously.  We recently cut the cord and got rid of cable and use Hulu Live instead.  We're saving close to $100 a month by doing this and Hulu Live has all the tv channels we watch, including live, local tv.  We have smart tvs, but found that using Hulu through the Firestick streamed better.
