Friday Favorites

Well good morning from the East Coast!  More specifically, from my sister's kitchen in Rhode Island.  Phillip and I are here in Rhode Island for the Christmas holiday.  Family fun for everyone!  Today, he and I are spending the day with my niece.  Breakfast, bowling, and a Target run are in our future.  This is a travel themed Friday Favorites.  I'm going to cover some of my favorite travel items.

One

You need to be comfy when you travel.  My favorite thing to wear when I travel is a pair of leggings and a tunic or my Barefoot Dreams cardigan.  Airports and airplanes can be cramped and crowded.  You need to be comfortable.

Comfortable shoes are a must and they need to slip on and off easily.  In the summer, I'll wear flip flops, but traveling to New England in the winter calls for something with a little more coverage, especially since you never know if there's going to be snow on the ground.  I love my Skechers Go Walks for travel.  They are so comfortable so if you're running trying to make a connection or just have a really long walk through the airport, you know your feet won't hurt by the time you need to get to where you are going.  And they slip on and off so security is a breeze.

Another must for me when I travel is a scarf.  Even in the summer I throw one in my bag.  You never know what the temp is going to be like on the plane and it can get downright chilly.

I am not one to travel light, at least when it comes to what I carry on.  Usually it's my phone, my iPad, maybe my laptop, any work I might need, a book, magazines, a scarf, the bottle of water I buy after I get through security...I need a good bag to cart all of it around in.  One of my go-tos is my Barrington Gifts St. Anne Tote.  Phillip got it for me for my birthday last year and I love it.  Especially when I travel.

And as a side note, if you don't follow Barrington Gifts on Instagram, you should, especially at Christmas.  Beverly the Barrington elf (one of the Elf on a Shelf elves) carts elf sized Barrington bags and it is the cutest thing.

And there you have it, my travel must haves.  What do you need when you travel?  Sound off in the comments below...

Have a very Merry Christmas everyone!
