Is it the last Wednesday of the month already? Wow February just flew right on by, didn't it? The last Wednesday of the month is What's Up Wednesday. Here's what February looked like.
What We're Eating This Week
Sunday night I broke out the cookbook Phillip got me for Christmas, Cooking for Jeffrey, and made roast chicken and parmesan zucchini.
Monday night I made a favorite - pesto pasta salad; Tuesday Phillip was on his own because I had an Ohio State Alumni function. Wednesday night we're having fish and cauliflower; Thursday Phillip is cooking pork tenderloin and broccoli; and Friday is Turkey burger night! I'm not quite sure what we're doing this weekend yet.
What I'm Reminiscing About
Not a great memory, but I am remembering two years ago when I had the flu. It was terrible. The worst part, other than having to cancel a weekend trip to North Carolina (wahhh!), was how badly my body ached. If I never get the flu again it will be too soon.
What I'm Loving
wishing necklace | deja vu studs | always bangle | watch
I am loving my new side gig as a Stella & Dot Stylist. I have loved their jewelry for years and I love sharing my favorites with all of you.
What We've Been Up To
I chopped my hair!
I went to many barre classes. I'm about 20 classes away from my 100 class milestone!
This handsome guy and I had a fancy date night at Pyramid Restaurant.

We celebrated Valentine's Day a few days early by eating at The Ranch. Then I was off to sunny Florida for work.
We rounded out the month with wedding cake tasting! The wedding cake will be two tiers of Raspberry Liqueur cake and one tier of White. The Groom's cake will be Mexican Chocolate.
What I'm Dreading
The final details and decisions regarding the wedding. I hate administrivia and things like favors and centerpieces fall into that category.
What I'm Working On
Me! I have several balls in the air at the moment, and my weight loss goals are not getting any smaller. I am determined to maintain focus, get my workouts in, and TRACK. If I do that, I should not have any problems with the last pounds I have been wanting to lose.
What I'm Excited About
My parents are coming to visit! Mom and Rich will be here the first part of spring break for a visit. Yay!
What I'm Watching/Reading
I finally finished Vivien. It was very good. A bit dense in parts, but I learned so much about her life.
Fahrenheit 451 is one of Phillip's favorites. I had never read it and I knew I was almost finished with Vivien, so I packed this for my trip to Florida. I finished it in 3 nights. It's not a long read. I really enjoyed it.
Now I'm on to Find Your Extraordinary. It's very motivational and inspiring. I was excited to read it as the author is the founder of Stella & Dot. It's got some great life advice about propelling yourself forward, no matter what your endeavor.
Phillip and I have been on an Air Disasters kick lately. It's on the Smithsonian Channel and we are just fascinated.
What I'm Listening To
Podcasts and more podcasts. I'm still loving My Favorite Murder, The West Wing Weekly, Criminal, and Hollywood Crime.
What I'm Wearing
hammered hoops | garland fringe | dress (similar)
rebel pendant | tilley studs | blessed bracelet | watch | jeans | sweater | shoes
garland fringe necklace | mini hammered hoops | watch | jeans | booties | sweater
What I'm Doing This Weekend
We currently have no plans other than the usual - barre, grocery shopping, weight watchers, date night. Maybe a movie? We both want to see John Wick 2.
What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month
My parents visiting, my first wedding dress fitting, spring break...
What Else Is New
My super amazing fiance is whisking me off to New York City for my 40th birthday. We'll be there Memorial Weekend and we are both so so excited. I've been to New York several times, but I've never stayed over in the city, I've always traveled in and out the same day. We've got tickets to see Anastasia and we're going to explore Central Park and go to the World Trade Center Memorial.
Bonus Question: What's Your Favorite Beauty Product
My current fave is a recommendation from my facialist - Pajama Paste by FarmHouse Fresh. It smells incredible and it is helping my pores and skin. If I had to name two complaints aboutmy skin it would be enlarged pores and redness and this product effectively addresses both.
That's all for What's Up Wednesday! What have you all been up to? Come back Friday for Friday Favorites. See you then!
