Oh my gosh y'all. May is right around the corner. I am soooo not ready. We hit 90 degrees in Dallas yesterday. #summeriscoming
With May fast approaching, that means it's time for What's Up Wednesday! Here's what we've been up to this month!
What We're Eating This Week
Monday: We had frozen zucchini and bean burritos. It's a Cooking Light recipe we love. It makes about 10 burritos, so we end up freezing a bunch.
Tuesday: I was in Austin and had work to do so I ordered pizza delivered to my hotel room
Wednesday: I'm traveling back from Austin tonight so we will probably have soup or something quick, easy, and light.
Thursday: fish and roasted cauliflower
Friday: Mix and Match Mama's jalapeno cheddar burgers (we sub ground turkey)
Saturday: Phillip's parents are meeting us for dinner out, not sure where yet
Sunday: We're going to Canton so something easy with leftovers for work the next day for Phillip.
What I'm Reminiscing About
My last visit home in December. I'll be back in 8 weeks! I can't wait to see this little miss! I'm hoping for good weather so we can hit up the beach!
What I'm Loving
This philosophy Amazing Grace Dry Shampoo is the hands down best dry shampoo I've used. And it smells incredible! I've worn the Amazing Grace perfume for YEARS so I was excited to try this and I was not disappointed.
This Becca UnderEye Brightening Corrector is a new favorite. Just a little bit under your eye before you do your concealer and you look more awake and refreshed. So worth it and a little goes a long way so this little jar will last you a long time.
As we slide into summer, it's time to break these out. These were a favorite last summer and I just started using them again. These Dr. Gross alpha beta glow pad for body are fantastic. It goes on easy for a natural glow. I found this to be better than every other self tanner I've tried.
What We've Been Up To
parker sunglasses | mini hammered hoops | nail polish
I had a road trip to Austin for work, so I threw on my sunglasses, grabbed some coffee and hit the road. Have you tried the coconut milk mocha macchiato from Starbucks? I am lactose intolerant so I try to sub out almond or cocount milk when I can. This one is delicious. Now for someone who HATES coconut, I was nervous to try it, but y'all I do not taste coconut in here at all. This has become my go-to drink from SBX lately.
We went to Nebraska Furniture Mart and did some exploring.
We found some things we really liked, like this living room set. I am loving that ottoman table.
We celebrated Phillip's Birthday with a night out in Dallas, including a stay at The Highland Dallas.
I've been working on my Stella & Dot business. It's been fun and exciting and I am looking forward to seeing what I can do with this.
What I'm Dreading
I'm dreading how long I have to wait until I can talk about our next project. I'm hoping in the next few weeks I'll have final approval and I can talk about it.
What I'm Working On
See above...also this:
I am also looking for one or two more hostesses for May! Not in DFW? No problem, we can do a virtual trunk show over Facebook. It's easy peasy, I set up the event and send you all the messaging to invite people. Then, I post pictures and information in the event. The night of the event, I post more, but then also do a Facebook live session where I show off some of the pieces as if we were in your living room doing the show. For more information or to sign up to host, email me at nichole@themrsfisher.com. My hostesses average $150 in free product credit and 3 50% off items! Free stuff, just for looking at jewelry with your friends. It's that easy.
What I'm Excited About
We have a new addition to the family. Not ours, I'm not pregnant. Phillip's sister had a baby 2 weeks ago so we have a new nephew. Oh he's so darling. We got to see him on Easter and I got to hold him for a bit. There is nothing like holding a newborn.
What I'm Watching/Reading
I just finished The Notorious RBG. Five stars. It was a GREAT read. I have so much admiration for her. Every page I fell a little more in love with her. Trying to decide what to read next. Any suggestions?
I haven't been watching a lot if TV lately, but I am caught up on Scandal and Grey's, so that's something. I really want to watch Big Little Lies, so that may be next.
What I'm Listening To
All the podcasts! Seriously, I hardly ever listen to anything else in the car. I still have my favorites - My Favorite Murder, Criminal, and The West Wing Weekly, but these are also in rotation:
What I'm Wearing
Spring and summer styles and lots of layers! Here are a few of my outfits from this month.
dress (similar) | shoes | necklace (similar) | watch | love bangle
skirt (similar) | top | sweater | sandals (similar) | garland fringe necklace | hammered hoops | love bangle
jeans | top | sandals | engravable necklace | bracelet (similar) | isabelle wrap bracelet | ellie bag

What I'm Doing This Weekend
We are supposed to run a 5K in Garland on Saturday morning but the weather looks iffy. We'll see. We're having dinner with Phillip's parents Saturday night and then on Sunday we are heading to Canton.
What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month
Eeek! Phillip is taking me to New York City for the weekend for my 40th birthday. I am so excited!!!
We have tickets to Anastasia while we're there and I am so excited to see this. Phillip has never been to NYC, so this should be a lot of fun. I'm excited to share NYC with him.
What Else is New
Not much...check back with me next month, ha!
What's Your Favorite Spring/Summer Shoe?
This was an easy question! Hands down, my Reefs. I have three pairs and I wear them all the time in the summer when I'm not at work. They hold up so well. There's one pair I've had now for almost 5 years and they are still in great shape.
That's it for this month! I'll see you Friday for Friday Favorites!
