This was such a nice Saturday. I'd like to think of it as the calm before the storm that will be Commencement on Monday. Oh, also, grades are due Monday as well. I love it when things come together like that. Sigh. Back to Saturday. The weather was gorgeous. Sunny, blue blue skies, and a high of 72 degrees. I threw open all the windows and the sliding glass door and gave the apartment a well needed breath of fresh air. I felt quite productive. By 10 am I had worked out, cleaned the apartment, straightened out all my school papers from the last semester, showered and was ready to go. Not that I had anything specific planned.
After I showered this morning I tried a new tanning product. I don't want to go on my vacation looking like Casper the ghost. So I tried these towelettes from L'Oreal. My stars. I read about them initially on Kelly's blog and knew I had to try them out. Best thing ever. Because you swipe the towelette all over, there is no streaking. It dries quickly and isn't sticky. Highly, highly recommend this product (I wasn't compensated or anything for this rave review, I bought them on my own at Wal-Mart).
So what to do with my evening? I went to the movies. There's a cinema the next town over that is a movie tavern. They serve food during the movie. The food was good. I probably would have designed the interior a little differently, but it was still a nice change from the normal movie theatre. So what did I see, you ask? Bridesmaids. It was hysterical. I haven't laughed like that in a theatre since I saw Wedding Crashers. Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph were so so funny. I won't spoil it for you, just take my word for it that you should see it. The only thing that would have made the night better would have been if my sister and my cousins were there too. We tend to have a little bit of fun at weddings, so I would have liked to see this with them. Alas, we're all spread out. I'm in Texas, Melissa's in California, Carolyn is in Massachusetts, Ally's in New Jersey, and Kell's in North Carolina. There were so many moments in the movie where I thought, oh my gosh, that could so be us. Kind of like how I feel watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding. My family craziness aside - Bridesmaids was fun, definitely a must see.
