Happy Monday Y'all! Are you ready for a new week? We have commencement tomorrow and I am so excited. There is nothing like seeing the joy and sense of accomplishment on the graduates' faces. It's a busy week this week, so there won't be a post Wednesday, but there will be a Friday Favorites. But today is Monday and that means it's time for Life Lately, a peek into what we've been up to lately.
Pardon the bleary eyes but this was at 4:45am on Monday as I was getting ready to head out the door to Barre. A great way to start the week.
This one decided she needed to help me with my homework. #sigh
I was so excited when this came in the mail this week! My new engravable necklace! So what did I have engraved on it? What any good Pure Barre afficionado would: lift - tone - burn and I love it.
I've been trying to focus more on eating healthy, whole foods so this last week I packed berries for lunches every day. They were delicious and a perfect sweet treat. I am trying not to stress eat with commencement around the corner. Oh and the wedding is 5 months away. #gulp.
As a rule, we only eat out once a week, but rules are made to be broken, right? Wednesday night neither of us felt like cooking so Phillip suggested Terra instead. We shared Baba Ghanouj for an appetizer and then I had the lentil soup for dinner. Terra is one of our favorites and never disappoints.
Slightly more awake for this one! Let me tell you, 4:45am is EARLY. But when you love it, you do it.
Hooray for Friday! I was supposed to meet girlfriends at TruFire, but some things came up for them and we had to reschedule. Fortunately, Phillip and I kept the reservation and had dinner at one of our favorite places in Southlake Town Square.
I LOVE this outdoor seating. I found it at World Market. I love that store. You can get everything there - wine, home decor, furniture, marshmallow fluff...such a great place.
Because we went out to eat Friday night, I was going to make dinner Saturday night. I was out at World Market and hopped over to Trader Joe's. I found Chicken Tikka Masala in the freezer case and thought I would make that with some jasmine rice. Win for dinner, right? Yeah, no. I did not read the box clearly enough and it was essentially a tv dinner for one. So, Salata to the rescue! #planB #itwasstilldelicious #ireallywantedtikkamasala
We went for a run Sunday morning along Campion Trail. Spring is in full swing in Texas. It sure is beautiful. We ran three miles and then walked another one mile. It felt good to get out in the fresh air and get some activity.
And then I made Banana Pudding. Ha! #balance

We were having Mother's Day Lunch at Phillip's parents' house and I knew there were going to be tons of kids running around so I wanted to be casual and I've been dying to wear this top since it arrived earlier in the week. It's from Loft and it is so soft and comfy. I'm wearing a Medium for size reference. It also comes in navy with white embroidery. But my closet is overrun with navy right now and I thought it would be a good idea to introduce a few other colors. I'm glad I did because this one is perfection.
And then to top the day off? I got to snuggle this sweet boy. The youngest of Phillip's nieces and nephews. One month old and he is the sweetest thing. Doesn't fuss, likes to snuggle, and he still has that wonderful sweet baby smell. I was happy to snuggle with him for awhile this afternoon.
And that's a peek into our life lately. What's new with you all? Sound off in the comments below! Make it a great week all!
