Y'all, how is it the start of another week already?
Am I right? The weekend just flies by. Although to be honest the weeks seem to be flying by too! Here's a peek into what we were up to last week!
Per usual, I started Monday with a Barre class! I love my 55 minutes in the morning. I admit, sometimes it is hard to get out of bed at 4:40, but when I get to the studio it is all worth it.
I was never really a huge bracelet person, but this season's bracelets from Stella & Dot are so gorgeous. This Jarne Coil is my hands down favorite. The bronzy colors work with silver, with gold, and with my favorite rose gold.
I also managed to fit in a Barre workout after work one night. It was an Empower class which is my FAVORITE. I've got a couple of doubles this week - morning class and evening class. We just started a challenge and that always motivates me to get in the studio.
Thursday I had a mammogram. #thisis40
No need to panic, it was just an annual visit. No concerns or anything. But since we're on the topic, if you are in the DFW area, get yours done at Baylor, Scott, & White Grapevine. They try to make it as much of a spa like experience as possible. So kind and all the amenities.
Afterwards I allowed myself to indulge in my one pumpkin spice latte of the season. They're kind of point heavy on the Weight Watchers tracker so I allow myself one.
I was so excited for the opening of NFL season. My Patriots opened the season at home against the Chiefs. And lost. Ugh. Not a great game for them.
Friday I talked all about my current beauty faves. I am still mad in love with the Peter Thomas Roth mask. Splurge on it, you'll thank me later!
How darling is this Old Navy top? I love the bright yellow with the red pattern. It was perfect for being out and about and running errands.
Friday night we drove out to the new house and discovered that they had started on the brick! Yay!!! I am so excited that they have started on the exterior. It looks so so good. No update on the inside, it looked like it hadn't been touched at all this past week. But we have brick!
After checking out the house we grabbed dinner at our favorite restaurant in the new neighborhood, Lazy Dog. And I ordered the sangria sampler. #goodchoice #gladidid
From left to right: pomegranate, white peach, raspberry moscato
The raspberry was my favorite They were all delicious though. Oh, yeah, and we got dinner too.
I opted for the fish tacos. There was plenty left over for lunch the next day.
Phillip went with the BBQ Bison Meatloaf and he thought it was delicious. We've gotten something different every time we've eaten there and it has all been so so good.
I see you Duke - handling Northwestern on Saturday. It was a great game.
I think this was my last edition of Brides in my subscription. The wedding is so close, I can hardly believe it!
Because we are super competitive, we played Yahtzee Saturday night while watching the OSU/OU game. And I won! Both games. It kind of helps with the fact that my beloved Buckeyes lost so spectacularly.
I started Sunday with a Pure Barre Empower class. #best55minutesoftheday #lifttoneburn #lovemypbstudio
On my quick Target run, I was able to snag a box of my favorite K cup flavor ever.
Tons of cooking on Sunday. I made this Cannoli Poke Cake to take to work Monday, Phillip made Quinoa King Ranch casserole for a late lunch, I roasted some veggies for work lunches, and then I made Broccomole for the game.
And then it was game time! I hate the Giants so it's easy to root for the Cowboys. Like the Rangers, they aren't in the Patriots division, so I have no problems cheering for the hometeam so long as they aren't playing against MY TEAM.
Lots going on this week too! I meet with the Florist this week, I HAVE to nail down my hair and makeup. I also have to get my car registered. It's inspected, so part 1 is done. Just need to go pay the registration. And that's just the top of the to do list. Hopefully we will have gorgeous weather like we had last week! Make it a great week y'all!
