Life Lately

Hello Monday!  Did you all have a good weekend?  We had quiet weekend, not much going on.  The usual errands, date night, house chores, you know the drill.  Here's a peek into what we've been doing lately.

Let's start with a PSA - did you know that Sephora will package perfume samples for you?  I went in looking for a perfume for my wedding day and the woman offered to put together samples of the ones I was interested in trying.  This way I could try them on, wear them, and see how they reacted on my skin.  Such a great idea and a lot of help.  I tried Replica's Lipstick OnChanel's Gabrielle, Armani's Si, and Elizabeth and James' Amethyst.

We are in the middle of a challenge this month at Pure Barre so I have been taking all the classes!

Post-barre sweaty selfie!  This was after an Empower class.  Those are my favorites.

Phillip was rolling change and came across this!  An old T token from the MBTA (Boston subway).  He has never ridden it so don't ask how this ended up in Irving, TX, but it was cool to find!

Kate is the guardian of all the shoes.  If you leave your shoes on the floor, she will find them and curl up with them.  #suchagoofycat

Y'all, the calendar says September, but Mother Nature has been saying Nope.  It has been in the 90s!  Ugh.  I can't even.  So I am still wearing all of my summer dresses.  I am loving all the rose gold jewelry at the moment, so paired this cute J. Jill linen dress with my FAVORITE rebel pendant.

I had to take this sweet girl to the vet on Friday morning.  She has been a bit off lately and needed to be checked out.  She is on the mend and is almost back to her usual, goofy self.

We went by the house on Friday night, per usual, and discovered that they finished the brick!  It looks so so so good.  I love it.  I can't wait to see what they do next!  #cantwaittomovein

Out and about Saturday!  Target run followed by Kroger.  I really want to do grocery pick up, but Phillip is wary.  Have any of you used grocery pick up?  Thoughts?

Saturday night we headed out for date night.  I was craving Italian so we decided on Brio.  And I was so glad we did.  Please order the Burrata and Ciabatta next time you are there.  You will not be disappointed.  It was exactly what I was craving.

Y'all.  This coffee is back!  I am so so happy.  This will be in stock in my house from now through Christmas.  It is hands down my favorite flavored coffee.

I curled up on the couch for a bit on Sunday, and this guy wanted to join me.  He has never been a lap cat.  He wants to snuggle on his time.

This is her favorite napping spot and I can't say I blame her.

About a year ago we signed up for a subscription to Cooking Light Magazine and it has been worth every penny.  This is the Santa Fe Turkey Meatloaf and it was a winner!  The bonus?  Phillip took care of Sunday dinner.  Y'all, I am marrying a man who cooks and he does it well!  I know I've mentioned it before, we rotate through who cooks and share that responsibility.  It was still nice to have the night off.

I've got a lot coming up this week!  Girls night tonight and a slate of "final things" at work.  Two week left until the new job starts.  I can hardly believe it!  And all the barre classes :) Have a great week y'all!
