Five for Friday - Old Navy Fall Sale

Okay y'all.  The first week was crazy.  Isn't always though at a new job?  You need to learn everything. And that includes things like where do I park?  Where's the supply closet?  Who goes where?  Where do I get my ID?  I am loving it though.  I am very excited about this new position.  

What I have noticed though is that I need to update my wardrobe a bit.  Not much, but I will need to be able to throw on a jacket with my outifts more than I have previously.  The community college was a little less formal, but I have worn a jacket 3 out of 4 days so far this week.

Old Navy to the rescue!  I hit them up hard and they did not fail me.  I find Old Navy to be hit or miss, but lately there have been a lot more hits than misses.  And the bonus?  Everything is on sale right now through 10/10. Here are my favorites!

Phillip bought this one for me.  He was ordering new jeans and asked if there was anything I wanted (he was trying to hit the free shipping threshold - ha).  I went with this knit blazer.  I like knit because it doesn't feel as stiff or formal as other materials, but I'm still wearing a jacket.  We've got professional development tomorrow while the database is down for an upgrade and I plan on pairing this jacket with a t-shirt, jeans, and booties.

I also snagged this navy ponte knit blazer.  It's so easy to wear.  

This week I paired it with this midi skirt from Banana Republic and Loft blouse.

I also love Old Navy for active wear, especially these high neck tops.  I love the cut of them and the fact that the neck is high.  No one wants to be falling out of their top while at barre.  Grab a bunch while they are on sale!

This ponte striped knit dress is perfect for work.  Pair it with a sweater or a jacket and some fun accessories, like this Bora Fringe necklace and you are ready to go.  Bonus?  This one is marked down to $15!!!

And you can't discount a good pair of flats.  If you have a lot of meetings on different parts of campus, heels may not be the best option (although they will always be my default).  Grab a dressy pair of flats to get you through those days.  These sueded d'orsay ones would be perfect.
