What's Up Wednesday

Y'all - I can't believe February is almost over.  Holy Cow!  That went by so fast.  January felt super slow, but we are staring down the start of March already.  So what have we been up to this month?

What We're Eating This Week

Monday - leftover French Onion Chicken
Tuesday - salad
Thursday - Fish and Cauliflower
Friday - Caprese Turkey Burgers with potatoes
Saturday - not sure yet, maybe Grimaldi's for pizza
Sunday - maybe Chicken Tortilla Soup?

What I'm Reminiscing About

Our trip to New York almost two years ago for my 40th birthday!  We had the BEST time that weekend.  We walked every where and saw everything.  I was hoping to do a similar trip for Mr. Fisher's 40th this year, but being pregnant, we can't do the trip we originally wanted.  We were going to do San Francisco and Napa Valley.  Wine Country isn't as much fun when you currently have to give up alcohol.  We're doing something a little more local instead.

What I'm Loving

This little munchkin!  I can't believe my nephew is getting so big!  He's almost 10 weeks old and he is growing so much.

What We've Been Up To

Nothing terribly exciting.  We picked a paint color for the nursery.  I can't wait to show you all when it's done.

I have been trying to stay as active as possible.  I'm not keen on the weight gain with pregnancy, but it's a necessary part of the process.  I'm already working on my game plan for getting back into shape.

How amazing is my new tumbler!!!  I can't wait for it to be done!

We reorganized the pantry so Baby Fisher has a shelf.  I love these bins from Ikea.  Perfect for organizing pantry/bathroom closet items.

What I'm Dreading

Nothing, really.  Lots of little things going on, but work is good, home is good, all with the baby is good.  Maybe the glucose testing?  Ha!

 What I'm Working On

Some blog content for the next few weeks, a first aid class, and some newborn care/childbirth classes offered by the hospital where we will be delivering.

What I'm Excited About

I've got a work trip to Los Angeles in about a month and I'm excited to head out that way. I'll be there the first week of April, LA friends, if anyone wants to meet for dinner!

Also...

I am almost 20 weeks!  Halfway there!

 What I'm Watching/Reading

I was on a Rosamunde Pilcher kick.  She passed away two weeks ago and I reread two of my favorites.

The Shell Seekers was my intro to Pilcher.  Thank you Mrs. Williams for assigning this book in high school English class.  If you're looking for another great book by this author, might I recommend Coming Home?

Have you all seen this documentary, Abducted in Plain Sight?  Crazy good and just plain crazy.

We also finished True Detective this week.  Season 3 was so good.  I can't say enough about how GREAT the casting was.

What I'm Listening To

I started this podcast this week.  It's by the same people who brought you Dr. Death and Dirty John, so it's in that vein.  I'm on episode 3 and I'm hooked.

 What I'm Wearing

A lot of forgiving dresses and tunic tops, ha!

These pants have been my go-to work pants.  I pair with flowy tops and cardigans.

I have this blue version and also a black version.  I throw a ponte jacket on or a long cardigan for work.  Fortunately I work in education and I don't have to wear a suit every day.  I probably dress a little more casual than I normally would, but they know I'm expecting and it's not a problem.

 What I'm Doing This Weekend

Not too much.  A Lowes run to pick up paint, dinner out on Saturday night for our usual date night, and lots of reading and relaxing.

What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month

Our 20 week ultrasound!  Other than that, March looks pretty quiet #fingerscrossed #aprilhasallthethings

What Else Is New

Not much!  We'll start working on the nursery next month.  I've got some hiring at work, so we'll be welcoming new staff.  Work will be busy, but homelife should be quiet.  I'm going to try and soak it all in while it lasts, ha!

What have you all been up to?
