And here we are again...winding down another month. Thanksgiving is tomorrow and Christmas is right around the corner! Here's what we've been up to the last month!
What We're Eating This Week
Considering Thanksgiving is tomorrow, we've tried to be healthy about what we're eating this week.
On Sunday Phillip made tortilla soup which is one of our favorites.

For #meatlessmonday we went with another favorite that is in constant rotation - Cooking Light's Pesto Pasta Salad. Garlic, basil, roasted tomatoes, mozzarella, yum!
Tuesday night we opted for fish and roasted cauliflower and tonight we are having soup again. Today I am planning out desserts for tomorrow. I plan on making Mix and Match Mama's Sticky Toffee Bundt Cake and also a banana pudding. I also plan on eating small bites of turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, and potatoes. We haven't planned out Friday's dinner yet, but I imagine we'll stick with tradition and have turkey burgers.
What I'm Reminiscing About

Christmases past! Christmas was always a big deal in my family and I have many memories spending Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with these two! That's my cousin Ally on the left, my cousin Carolyn in the middle, and me on the right. I come from a large family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins and we always spent Christmas Eve together when I was younger. Grandpa would make antipasto and we'd just hang out and enjoy being together. Thanks Auntie Kim for finding this photo!
What I'm Loving

I am still wildly in love with this Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Palette. For real. So many colors and options to choose from and they go on easy and stay all day. They blend well and you can create so many looks, day time, night time, party, glam, you name it.
What We've Been Up To

We ran the Toro Dash and Phillip bested me. Insert sad face here. I'm hoping for a better showing at the Arlington Turkey Trot tomorrow. The weather will be in my favor, I think.

We went to see Arrival and loved it. One of the best movies we've seen this year. This weekend we're going to go see Fantastic Beasts. Because of course. #harrypotterfan #teamravenclaw #i'mmarryingahufflepuff

We dealt with an injured cat this month, causing this wild scene in the bedroom. The good part? It was an excuse to pull the dust ruffle off the bed and wash it. The bad part? Two weeks of a cat with a soft cone around her neck and having to put eye drops in. She's letting us do the eye drops though, which is a nice change from having to wrestle her to do it.

Did someone say giveaway? I'm giving away a pair of these Stella & Dot Sparkle Studs. Check out the giveaway here.
What I'm Dreading
Nothing! I've got three weeks of work left until Winter Break!
What I'm Excited About
We leave in 4 weeks for Christmas at home in Rhode Island with my family. I haven't been home for Christmas in a few years so I'm really excited to go. And I just love Christmas in general.
What I'm Watching/Reading
We watched The Crown this month. If you love sweeping historical dramas, excellent acting, and top notch production quality this is the show for you.

John Lithgow as Winston Churchill is inspired casting and Jared Harris as King George is heartbreaking. Claire Foy and Matt Smith as Phillip and Elizabeth are so so good. You should check it out.
Reading - I'm in the middle of an eight week course so all my readings have been about enrollment management. I know, exciting.
What I'm Listening To
Since it's football season I'm listening to a lot of Mike & Mike in the morning. In the afternoons I alternate between the Christmas station on Pandora or the podcasts I have in rotation. At the moment I'm scrolling through the Sword and Scale archives to find episodes that pique my interest.
What I'm Wearing
Hooray! The Fall weather is finally here and I am busting out all the fall gear. Boots, scarves, sweaters, you name it.

wrap cardigan | jeans | tank | boots | watch

top (similar) | jeans | shoes (similar) | necklace

cardigan | tee | jeans | boots | necklace (similar) | watch | ring | belt
What I'm Doing This Weekend
Homework! I have a few assignments to work on. I've got a barre class scheduled and we're going to head out and see a movie. Kind of quiet, definitely relaxing.

I'm hoping for a repeat of this scenario. Cozy pants, fresh coffee, quiet morning.
What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month

Christmas in Rhode Island with this girl! She's excited that she gets Uncle Phillip and Auntie Nichole for a whole week. We're excited too.
What Else Is New
We had our engagement photos done a few weeks ago. Hopefully in the next week or so we'll get to see them!
What's Your Favorite Thanksgiving Tradition
I don't know that we have one, really. I just love getting the chance to spend the holiday with people I love and give thanks for all the blessing in life.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
