Y'all. How is it the last Wednesday in March already? April is just around the corner and Baby Fisher will be here in under 16 weeks! Eeek! These weeks are FLYING by.
As usual, every last Wednesday of the month I link up with Shay and Sheaffer and give you all a peek into what the Fisher House has been up to. Let's jump in!
What We're Eating This Week
Lately it's all about what I want to eat and knowing that there are going to be some nights that I just don't want to/have the energy to cook, ha! So there are things that have been out of the usual rotation and others that have been added in. I'm traveling next week, so Sunday we ended up making our favorite burritos because the recipe makes a lot and they freeze so well.
Sunday: Zucchini and Bean Burritos
Monday: Soup
Tuesday: Pork Loin and Cauliflower
Wednesday: Tacos
Thursday: Salad
Friday: Cauliflower Pizza
Saturday: Dinner out at Thirsty Lion
What I'm Reminiscing About
I was telling someone about our honeymoon in Hawaii in 2017 and where we were staying on the Big Island (Hilton Waikoloa) and I WANT TO GO BACK. Oh if I could I would go every year.
What I'm Loving
I am loving my new (code)word hat! Mine says 401, repping the home state of Rhode Island. Their designs are based on the area codes and part of the profits for each area code are donated to the children's hospital in that area, so Rhode Island peeps, a portion of the profits from the 401 gear goes to Hasbro!
I am LOVING my new tumbler from Blingz & Thingz
She takes special requests, so be as creative as you want!
LOVING this snugglebug. Our nightly ritual is still snuggling on the couch after dinner.
What We've Been Up To
March was pretty quiet, but April is ramping up to be busy.
We saw Captain Marvel - excellent. I can't wait for The Avengers in April.
Had a great date night at the movies and dinner at Whiskey Cake.
We worked on Baby Fisher's room! I am loving how the decals on the navy background turned out. I'll do a full reveal once it's all done. You'll have to make do with a sneak peek for now.
What I'm Dreading
I have the dreaded Glucose Test in 2 weeks. Sigh. Fingers crossed I passed.
What I'm Working On
I've got some work travel coming up in early April and some projects at work I want to knock out before I go on leave in July.
I'm also working on staying active during this pregnancy. I'll be honest - some days it's hard. But I am trying to walk 3-4 days a week and do prenatal yoga twice a week.
What I'm Excited About
My team. My World Series Champion Red Sox are back in action!
I've got a work trip that is bringing me to Los Angeles and I am excited to go. I haven't been to LA since I was on Jeopardy and I didn't get a chance to do much exploring, so I'm hoping to see a bit more of the city while I'm there.
What I'm Watching/Reading
I started Marilla of Green Gables and I am really liking it. I've not been super into reading lately, but I'm chalking that up to pregnancy. I know that I'll get a bunch done on my trip.
The Flight Attendant was good. Not my favorite CB, but still a good read.
I love Fiona Barton's work. The Widow was so so good and her second in the series, The Child was just as good. She's so good with her plot twists.
Y'all. I am still fascinated by the Theranos scandal. The Inventor was such a good watch. You will watch it and shake your head and wonder how it got so far. So good.
What I'm Listening To
Need a great middle of the week pick me up? Listen to The Popcast. So much fun and a great listen on a Wednesday morning. I haven't found a good bingeable listen like Dr. Death or Dirty John. I love the shorter serialized podcast stories, so hit me up with your recommendations!
What I'm Wearing
This top is in constant rotation. I love the bright green - it is perfect for spring.
I wish I could wear these pants every day. Alas, I have to be a little more dressed up for work except on Fridays, so these are mainly weekend pants. They are so comfy!
I am so happy that we are into warmer weather and I can break these out. I have a feeling in the hotter weather my pregnant feet will start to swell and these will be in daily rotation. I've hinted to Mr. Fisher that I want a second pair in black for my birthday...
What We're Doing This Weekend
Our taxes, some yard work, I have a facial scheduled, I've got breakfast Saturday morning with friends and I leave bright and early Sunday for Los Angeles!
What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month
1. The Zoo Run
2. Our trip to San Antonio for Easter Weekend
3. The Avengers Movie
4. Um, HAMILTON! Finally. I cannot wait to see it.
What Else Is New?
As I type this, Baby Fisher is roughly the size of a grapefruit. Just about 15 weeks to go!
Bonus Question: What is your favorite Easter side dish?
I don't know if I have a favorite side, but when we go to Easter dinner, I usually bring dessert and I bring Rice Pie. If you like custardy pies or rice pudding, you will love this.
What's new with you all this month?
