Friday Favorites - Workout Gear and a Giveaway!

Happy Friday Y'all!  It was a pretty good week - I got a workout in 4 out of the 5 workdays this week.  That has not happened in awhile!  And it felt good.  Having the treadmill in the house has been so good for us and I have started mixing the 21 Day Fix workouts back into rotation.  I had really gotten off my workout routine the last couple of months.

Working out a lot means I need a variety of workout clothes.  Here are my recent favorites!

Five for Friday - Gifts for Him and a Giveaway!

Happy Friday Friends!  Hopefully you are all out snagging some amazing Black Friday deals (see yesterday's post for links to my favorites)!  Mr. Fisher and I got out this morning and found a new Christmas tree for the new house - yay!

And speaking of Mr. Fisher...let's talk gifts for the guys in your life.  I started my shopping a couple of weeks ago.  We are starting a new tradition of buying gifts according to this: something you want, something you need, something to wear, something to read.

Five for Friday and a Nordstrom Giveaway!

Hey there Friday!  So glad to see you!  I have felt crazy busy all week.  What about you?  Has September felt crazier than usual?  Just me?  Earlier in the week, I posted about transitioning from summer to Fall so I thought this Friday, I'd highlight my five favorite things from the Nordstrom Sale that will get you through the rest of this warm weather and into the coziness of fall.

And a giveaway!  

This lush roll sleeve tunic is perfect with jeans or leggings.  It's light enough to wear now but will pair really well with boots and scarves when the weather starts to turn.  And the really good news?  It's under $30!

New Year...and New Bling (Giveaway!)

One of my favorite books of all time is Anne of Green Gables.  In it she says, "tomorrow is fresh, with no mistakes in it".  That's how I feel about a new year.  It's a clean slate.  Time to refocus and renew.  I don't have any resolutions, but I do have goals for 2017.

Goal One

Spread my wings and fly - at work.  I know, you all are saying, what?  What do you mean?  I was recently able to reorganize in my department that will allow me to focus more on the big picture - projects and initiatives - instead of the day to day administrative stuff.  I'll still have a little of that to tend to, but I am looking forward to making an impact in other ways now that I will have more time!

Goal Two

Goal Two is to use my planner to it's fullest potential.  I use the Passion Planner and I love it.  It has lots of space to plan and dream and take notes.  But I never use these spaces.  With a wedding coming up this year, I need to plan things out and plan ahead so that I don't feel overly stressed.  I want to enjoy this experience of marrying Phillip and don't want it to turn into a chaotic frenzy.

Goal Three

Goal Three is to not be complacent about my workouts.  I used to be so good at getting in 5-6 workouts a week and I feel like a slacker lately about it.  I have recommitted myself to getting in 3-4 barre classes a week and 3 runs a week.  #sweatingforthewedding #happyhealthylife

Goal Four

You all know that I've gone back to school.  I'm currently enrolled in a Graduate Certificate Program in Enrollment Management.  My goal is to complete the program on time which means I should be finished in October, just before the wedding.  I know, I know, I'm crazy, but I didn't know all of the term sessions before I enrolled.

Goal Five

Goal Five is to keep having fun with this guy.  He's not one to believe in fate, but we definitely stumbled on each other at the right place and the right time in our lives.  I could not have asked to meet a more perfect match to spend the rest of my life with.  We are getting married in less than 300 days and I cannot wait.

Goal Six

My Sixth Goal is to explore more of this city that I love!  I will always love Rhode Island as my home - it's where I grew up and where most of my family lives.  But Dallas.  It tugs at my heart.  I've been here since 2010 and driving into the city and seeing that skyline?  It never gets old.  I know I've only scratched the surface seeing what it has to offer and I can't wait to discover more.

Goal Seven

My final goal of the year is to read more!  I love to read and I just have not made the time to do more of it.  I am devoting at least 20 minutes to reading before bed.  It will help me wind down and relax and I can get through more of the books on my to-read list.  I'm currently reading Daughter of Empire and I am loving it.

Friday Favorites and a Giveaway

Hi y'all!  Welcome to Friday.  We are less than one week away from Thanksgiving!  I am so looking forward to it.  This weekend we have a family birthday party for two of Phillip's nieces and then Saturday night we are going to put of the Christmas decorations! My favorite time of the year.  I imagine there will be hot chocolate and Christmas music involved.

I also apologize for a lack of a mid-week post this week.  With traveling back from Horseshoe Bay and then Wednesday night I did not sleep at all.  And when I mean at all, I mean less than hour.  Ugh.  And when I get less than 4 hours of sleep, I get nauseous.  So Thursday was not pretty.

But here we at Friday!  And we have a giveaway this week too.  So stay tuned at the end of the post.
