Friday Favorites - Maternity Wear

Happy Friday!  Who is ready for the weekend?  I know I am.  Mr. Fisher and I have early Valentine's dinner reservations Saturday night.  I've got breakfast plans with friends and other than that, it's going to be a nice low-key weekend.

As I'm now almost 17 weeks along, some maternity wear is in order.  Especially pants.  I've rounded up some of my favorites from some of my favorite stores to share with you all on the cold, North Texas Friday.

Even though it's July, there is still plenty of Summer left to be had.  I know I plan to be on the beach on Sunday and then next weekend we are off to Galveston.  Some of these will definitely make it into my luggage for my trips.

Life Lately

As you may have been able to tell by my extended absence from blogging, life lately has been a little hectic.  Mainly due to work.  Crazy times at the office meant that when the weekend would come around, I had no energy to pour into blogging.  Things have started to even out a bit though and I have had a little more time on weekends and I miss connecting with you all!  Thank you for your patience with me.

Florida Vacation - part two

In case you missed it, I covered our first few days of vacation yesterday.  It covers Saturday - Wednesday.

Thursday was Disney Day!  This was mainly a relaxing by the pool kind of vacation, but we knew we wanted to do one day at Disney and we picked the Magic Kingdom.

Y'all.  We had so much fun in the sun this past week!  It was so nice to completely unplug from work and just relax with my family.  We only had one day of go-go-go and that was Disney Day.  Other than that, it was a lot of pool time and relaxation.

Friday Favorites - Vacation Packing!

A week from tomorrow we will be on our way to Florida for 8 days of vacation!!!  I am so excited to unplug and unwind.  Mr. Fisher and I have both had crazy times at work the last few months and we are ready for some rest and relaxation.

 

I thought I would highlight some of my vacation packing favorites on the blog today.

 

 

Workin' It Wednesday - Ready for Summer Clothes!

Y'all.  Work has been a DOOZY lately.  Which means I have been wiped out and that mean no blog post for a week.  We leave for vacation in just over 2 weeks and I am so excited to unplug and unwind!

Before that though, it's the second Wednesday of the month which means a link up!  This month we're talking about how we transition our wardrobes.

Texas weather is CRAZY.  I thought New England weather was nuts, but Texas has it beat.  And that's just outside.  These days it's in the 80s or 90s.  I feel like we skipped right over the 60s and 70s and jumped right into Summer.  But that also means that when it's 90 outside, it feels freezing inside.  

Here are some ways I transition my wardrobe from Winter to Summer (we generally just skip right over Spring around here).

Friday Favorites - Spring and Summer Accessories

Happy Friday Y'all!  It feels like spring is finally springing on Texas and I am excited for this weekend.  Mr. Fisher and I have a 5K tomorrow morning and we're going to the ballet Saturday night.  I've got a full work weekend in between (crunch time in Admissions y'all).

Life Lately

Hello!  Welcome to April and all the springtime goodness.  It's been awhile since I did one of these posts.  I thought I'd upload some pics of what we've been up to lately!

What's Up Wednesday

I know y'all, it's been awhile, but to be honest I was in a dark place after we had to relinquish Georgia back to the rescue and I needed to step away for a bit and clear the decks.  It was good to have some down time.  

I thought that What's Up Wednesday would be a good place to start back at it and give you all a glimpse into what we've been up to around here.

What We're Eating This Week

I have been out of town since Sunday so the meals for the rest of this week are a mishmash...

Wednesday: Salad with rotisserie chicken

Thursday: Probably fish and cauliflower or salad again depending on how late we both work

Friday: Mr. Fisher's family from San Antonio are in town for Easter and they're coming for dinner.  We will probably cook out and do fajitas, chips, and salsa, Mexican corn, and tres leches cake
