Hello! I've missed you all.  The last couple of weeks have just been hectic workwise.  Hoping things slow down a bit so I can get back into my normal blogging routine.  What better way to dive back in than with a What's Up Wednesday post.  I'm linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for a peek into our life during October!

Hello!  Happy Wednesday Friends!  I hope this week is treating you well.  I can't believe it's Wednesday already.  I picked up Henry's Halloween costume over the weekend and it is so stinking cute.  I can't wait for costume day at his school so I can take pics.  

We're still living that low-key COVID life, but here's a peek at what we've been up to lately!

What's Up Wednesday

 

Happy Wednesday All!  It is the last day of September and we are one day away from my favorite month of the year - OCTOBER.  October is the height of Fall, it's also the month of my wedding anniversary, and I just think of fun sweaters, falling leaves, a crisp breeze in the air.  Is there anything better than October?

Life Lately

 

Happy Tuesday!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  We were mostly low key, but did venture out to the Dallas Zoo for a couple of hours on Sunday.  Here's a peek at what life lately has looked like (COVID edition).

I feel like we are at this point in 2020 right now, especially because Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons.

These two have been Henry's favorite companions lately.  They alternate between his room and the living room.  They're soft and squishy and my kid has always been a sucker for a stuffed animal.

Friday Favorites

 

Y'all.  We're here - it's Friday.  Hooray!  This week has been crazy with the first week of classes.  I added an extra day on campus into the work from home rotation and I've felt off about my schedule all week.  But we're here.  We made it to the weekend.

Not that we have any plans, it'll be another low key weekend hanging at the house, but there will be no Zoom calls.

 My favorites this week are courtesy of Target!  They are killing it with the cute clothes for toddler boys this season.  I snagged a bunch of stuff for Henry this week.

Life Lately

 

My institution starts Fall classes next Wednesday and I have all the anxiety about it.  Not that there's anything I can do - all of our plans are put in place.  We'll see what happens.  So a lot of work, a lot of home life going on - here's a peek into what we've been up to lately.

Feeding Henry

 One of the things I get a lot of questions about is what we feed Henry, how we feed Henry, what do we use?  

Let me start by saying I am not a baby feeding expert.  We did a combined approach of purees and Baby Led Weaning.  I HIGHLY recommend the infant course from Feeding Littles.  Megan and Judy are a dream team with many years of experience as well as the licensing/credential to back up what they do.

We started last January with purees.  I was on winter break, so made my own.  I'm not a purist, we also bought jarred food, but since I had the time and most of the equipment, I thought why not?

Life Lately

It's a new week y'all!  I have a crazy buys week at work, but I really enjoyed my time off last week.  I completely unplugged and it helped to recharge my batteries.  Here's a little peek at what we've been up to lately.

Good Morning!  I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I can't believe we are almost halfway through July.  I feel like April and May were the longest months ever but July is just zipping by.

Friday Favorites

It's Friday!  Hooray!  We have the day off today in observance of the holiday.  I'm linking with Andrea and Erika for Friday Favorites. 

This squish is 2 weeks away from his first birthday, so I thought today I would highlight some of my favorite things from his first year.

Life Lately

Y'all.  It's been a minute, hasn't it.  Let me start by saying I have missed blogging so much.  It's so crazy though.  My last post was last October!  Which was right before I went back to work after maternity leave.  It really took a while to find my stride work wise - balancing working full time with being a wife and mother.

And then we got to March.  My beloved grandmother passed away and right after that is when all of the chaos from COVID started to ramp up.  Mr. Fisher and I are fortunate enough to work in industries where we were able to work from home.  We pulled Henry out of day care for awhile and hunkered down here in TX, only going out to pick up groceries.

That was our life until the beginning of May.  Mr. Fisher went back to the office and Henry went back to day care.  I am still predominantly working from home and going into the office one day per week.  I'll do a separate post soon about what my work from home life looks like, but we are making it work, which is good for our students.

 

Amazon Lately

Let's be honest, getting out of the house with a newborn is challenging.  Many times I've asked myself, is it worth it to get him in the car seat and bring him into the store to get something?  Usually not, so my Amazon purchases ramped up a bit the last few weeks.  I've got some of my favorite Amazon finds here.

What's Up Wednesday (on Thursday)

Y'all.  I know.  It's Thursday.  But we were traveling from Wednesday to Tuesday and the time to pull the post together just got away from me.  So it's a day late.  I can't believe September is almost over.  I've got about 12 days of maternity leave left.  Eeek.  It went by sooo fast.  Here's a look at our September!

Henry is Here!

This handsome boy made his appearance on July 16 and I can't believe it's been eight weeks already.  I thought that after two months, it was time to jump back into the blogosphere and what better way than with Henry's birth story!
