Trivia Tuesday

I'm stealing the idea for Trivia Tuesday from my friend Sean.  If you like trivia, you need to check out Sporcle.  I played a lot of games on Sporcle when I was prepping for Jeopardy last year.

And the best trivia, in my opinion, is Harry Potter trivia.  So, courtesy of Sporcle, here are two games.

2.  Harry Potter Top 200:  How many of the top 200 characters can you name?
I scored 117/200.  I missed some easy ones too.  It's hard to sit there and name characters off the top of your head.

Please Phrase in the Form of a Question...

I've always wanted to be on Jeopardy. Ever since I was a little kid. I'd watch and keep my own score. I love trivia - my mind soaks up useless random information like a sponge. If you need a teammate for Trivial Pursuit, I'm your girl. Ever since they've started doing the Jeopardy contestant testing online, I've tried every time. I think tonight was the fourth time I've taken the test. Out of those four tries (so far), I've been asked to a regional audition once. This was in Boston and it was about 4 years ago. I never got beyond that, but I keep trying. I took the test again tonight. I don't know that I did so well, but you never know. Hopefully they say "Yes, Nichole, come to Raleigh for an audition". I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

How Many Can you Name?

For those of you who have yet to discover Sporcle, let me encourage you to do so now, especially if you are a trivia buff like me. They have quizzes about everything - geography, social studies, entertainment, world events, etc. It's a total time waster, but oh so much fun. Especially the college sports ones. One quiz that was published this week was "Can You Name the Top 15 Final BCS Standings Each Year Since 1998?" I got 88%. How did you do?
